Feature walls are still big news with florals top of our bestseller list. Bring it up to date with a coordinating stripe or textured plain paper to complete the look of the room. Vinyl wallpaper adds warmth and texture to a room – so if you don’t want a big scary pattern why not go for a stunning textured vinyl – very designer, boutique hotel in look.
I am often asked what colours are in at the moment and to be perfectly honest there are so many it is a really exciting time in interiors. Smart striking monochrome is still popular and lime green is still a winning look especially for the spring.
Pure white is becoming more popular, think white high gloss kitchens teamed with silver Grey for a high tech look or if you want to add some vibrancy to the mix, berry shades of purple through to hot fuchsia pink look fantastic.
Interiors very often follow the catwalk so if you want to get ahead of the game this should be your inspiration! Navy is now back on trend and we are seeing a number of collections of fabrics which have started to include navy as one of the colour ways available.
If you have a dark brown or black leather sofa in your lounge then you have the perfect backdrop to introduce vibrant colours such as teal blue, lime and orange with brown leather or hot pink, red, and again lime work well with black.
Mix and match florals with toile or stripes for an eclectic but coordinating look. A mixture of designs and textiles on cushions add depth and interest to the scheme. In a room with one large window and a couple of small windows make the most of a large floral with full length curtains so you can really see the pattern to its full advantage. Use a vertical stripe in coordinating colours for smart tailored roman blinds and pick out a colour to use for your accessories: vases, scatter cushions and pictures.
If you are looking for a totally different statement for your room or to go one step further than a wallpaper feature wall. Why not look at Nono Wall Power.
Choose from a wide variety of images including scenes from St Marks Square in Venice to a selection of long stemmed red roses.
